FS2 - Big Toddle

FS2 went on their Big Toddle Sponsored Charity Walk for Barnados to the Woodland Centre. The theme was Space! Everyone dressed up and the costumes were Super Duper! The children played lots of games and hunted for moon rock which had dropped from the moon into the long grass! Then they all found their own little piece! The following day, the children all made their own space book. They wrote on black paper and used silver and gold pencils to write with!

Visit to Parliament to Meet Lord Knight

Present and past pupils from Y5 visited the House of Lords on Tuesday 11th July 2014.   They journeyed to London by train and started the day with a tour of the House of Lords.  Following on from this, the children shared their views on education and challenged Lord Knight with their own questions. The children enjoyed lunch with Lord Knight on the outdoor terrace and talked politics over sandwiches and beverages! The children arrived home feeling excited and inspired by their experience!

Y6 - Teamwork!

Recently Y6 have been busy working hard on rehearsals for our end of year show 'Go for Goal'.  After tense auditions and some excellent performances, parts have been allocated and everyone is busy learning lines and song words. We are all really enjoying developing our acting skills and are sure it will be another knock out show.

We have also been looking at rocket designs ready for creating our own rockets to enter into an Schools competition - our prototype rocket was very impressive but we now know what we need to improve on the design to produce a winner!
