Year 5 Greek Vases

In Year 5, we have been learning about ancient Greece. We have been looking at the different uses of Greek vases and found out that the Greeks decorated their pottery with familiar stories. These included myths and fables.

 In Literacy, we read some of the Greek fables such as 'Hercules and the Wagonner' and 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'. We then used these stories as a stimulus for designing and making our own Greek vases! We still have to paint our vases...so watch this space!
