Story Introductions (Y5)

Y5 pupils have been writing their own story introductions for 'Around the World In Eighty Days'.  The children have been thinking about starting with speech, action or description to engage the reader and encourage them to read on!  Have a read of some of our introductions... we are very pleased!

This is Rebekah's fantastic introduction from 'Write to Excite'.  The Y5 pupils used the game Myst as a stimulus for their writing.  Great work Rebekah!

Hollie decided to start her version of Around the World in Eighty days with a descriptive sentence.  We like the way she has used a short sharp sentence... Something extraordinary... to build up the suspense!

Ellie decided to start her introduction with speech.  We like the way she has has described the roaring trains, tumbling mountains and speeding ships!
